Second Victim Dies From High Speed Chase Crash

YAKIMA, Wash. - Police say a second Yakima man has now died of injuries from a high speed police chase that ended with a crash.

19-year-old Edgar Mendoza died Monday morning. He had been in critical condition in a Seattle hospital since the October 22 crash.

Police say Blake Young will now be charged with a second count of second-degree murder. They say Young was the driver of a stolen car who led police on a high speed chase through Yakima. That chase ended when the stolen car hit the car Mendoza was driving near 48th Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.

A passenger in Mendoza's car, 20-year-old Guillermo Aguilar, died just after the crash happened.
