Tri-Cities, Wash. - New information has surfaced in the search for 7-year-old Heidi Russ who police say was kidnapped by her own mother.
Federal Marshals are travelling across the country, following up on all the tips pouring into the Pendleton Police Department.
Now Federal Marshals have stepped in, as the month-long search for the little girl intensifies. Police said Michelle Finley is on the move with her daugher and may have gotten some help in her get away from a man in the Tri-Cities.
The man, who police won't identify, was also spotted with the two in Wells, Nevada. An investigator is tracking down surveillance video that caught the three on tape but police said time is ticking.
"Nothing is out of the realm of possibility but based on what we know he would not be a danger to her (Heidi Rus)," said Pendleton Police Chief Stewart Roberts.
Michelle Finley has a warrant out for her arrest in connection to the kidnapping. Once the man is identified, Chief Roberts hopes he will also be charged for helping Finley escape with her child who she does not have custody of.
