Growers Hope Pink Lady Crop Thaws Out

MOXEE, Wa -  Freezing temperatures could impact apple growers who are harvesting pink ladies and fujis.

Temperatures expected to drop down to eleven degrees tonight and 16-degrees tomorrow night.  Last night, it was also below freezing.

Some growers in colder areas like Moxee, higher elevations in the valley and Ellensburg -- have been forced to leave apples on the tree.

Frozen apples have to thaw out before they can be picked. if apples stay frozen for a couple days, then they may not be salvageable.
