Pastor Randle Foos Sentenced for Vehicular Homicide

BENTON COUNTY, Wash. - The Benton county Superior Court Judge, Vic VanderSchoor, sentenced Pastor Randall Foos to 15 months in prison, pending the outcome of an appeal.

In August, jurors found Foos guilty for causing the death of 19 year old Sara Casey on September 17th, 2003.

Foos' defense attorney says they are appealing the trial verdict and filed the appeal today.  Attorney Mason Pickett says the defense can prove the trial did not meet the legal requirements to convict Foos of vehicular homicide.  Lawyers in the trial anticipate the appeal may take up to 2 years.
