Family Angry About State Laws for Auto Theft and Eluding Police

YAKIMA, Wa -  A Yakima family is angry after they lose a loved one while police are chasing a stolen car.  Now they want stiffer penalties for car thieves.

Edgar Trevino-Mendoza died early Tuesday morning from his injuries, eight days after the crash happened. Mendoza's best friend - Guillermo 'Bobby' Aguilar - also died in the crash.  The other passenger - Juan Hernandez-Ortega - is recovering from serious injuries.

Police say they were involved in a high speed chase with Blake Young when he hit Trevino-Mendoza's car.  Young now faces two second-degree murder charges.
