YAKIMA, Wash -- With only five days to go before the November elections, a new campaign ad is causing controversy. The ad attacks Republican Charles Ross, and links his driving record to immaturity.
The ad was produced and paid for by the 14th Legislative District Democratic Committee.
The ad stirred such a negative response, that his Democratic opponent Ron Ronlender told the party to stop running it.
"We thought that this issue might have some sensitivity for the candidates and thought that it was our responsibility to bring it to the voters," said Leslie Wahl, Chairman of the 14th legislative District Democratic Committee.
