PULLMAN, Wash. - Junior guard Derrick Low scored 18 points on 8 for 10 shooting, leading Washington State to an 84 to 40 win over Central Washington in an exhibition game today in Pullman. Sophomore guard Mac Hopson had 12 points and junior guard Kyle Weaver added 10 for the Cougars. Washington State broke open a close game with a 25 to 3 run over the final 8:24 of the first half to lead 48-21 at intermission. Washington State opens its regular season in the John Thompson Foundation Classic hosted by Wisconsin-Milwaukee next Friday through Sunday. The Cougars will begin the season against UAB.
