No Consensus on Border Security Between Groups

Posted: Updated:

NEAR LYNDEN, Wash. - Two local groups have been speaking out about U.S. border security, and they have very different ideas about how safe we are.

The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps spent the month of October on different posts along the Canadian border, watching for illegal activity.

Their opponents, Aguila del Norte, say the Canadian border is safe, and the Minutemen should not take it upon themselves to patrol it.

There are sensors that detect people crossing a ditch from one side of the border to the other, and cameras border patrol use to watch people.
