Looking For Suspects in String of Kennewick Burglaries

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Someone is stealing electronics out of several Kennewick businesses and churches. And officers want your help to find the culprits.

It looks like whoever is breaking into these places is after electronics and breaking in same way each time.

On September 30th, thieves broke a window to get into the United Methodist Church on Union and Kennewick Ave. Suspects stole DVD players and video projectors.

Early on October 11th, burglars broke a window at the Four Square Church across the street. Thieves stole guitars and electronic amplifiers.

Then either late Monday night or early Tuesday morning someone broke a window into another business close by, Cascade Natural Gas, and stole electronic equipment.

All together seven burglaries at five places in the past month, all close to Kennewick and Union.

Officers recommend other area businesses write down the serial number on all electronics.

"So often we go to do investigative reports and we have no serial numbers and without that we can't enter that into the database so that other enforcement agencies, if they recover it, can link it back," said Sgt. Ken Lattin, Kennewick Police Department.

Police still have no new leads in this case. If you have any information call Crimestoppers at 586-TIPS or 1-800-222-TIPS.
