RICHLAND, Wash - The Hanford volleyball team doesn't remember the last time they made it to state, mainly because none of them were even alive! 1987 is the last time the Falcons made it to the state volleyball tournament, and this year's team is looking to capitalize on the opportunity. Last year the team was fourth in their league and lost in regionals; this year, Hanford is number 1 in the C.B.L. and will play Olympic in the first round of the state tournament at 9:45 Friday morning. The girls say this year's team is exactly that; a group of girls that are true friends and "the weirdest team you'll ever meet!" The girls are always together, whether it be at dinner, movies or sleepovers, and hope their tight bond as friends will help their chances in this year's tourney.
