PACKWOOD, Wash. - Packwood and Randle residents are getting some much-needed assistance after the week's flooding. The Cowlitz River inundated some homes there, and left a mess in the ones still standing.
American Red Cross volunteers from Yakima set up a disaster relief center Friday, at the Packwood Elementary Gym. They're handing out clothes, food, water, and cleaning kits to people who need them. Wal-Mart employees from Chehalis donated most of the supplies.
