Cougs Continue Downward Spiral

TEMPE, Ariz - Playing without top receivers Michael Bumpus and Jason Hill because they have ankle injuries, the Washington State Cougars lost 47 to 14 tonight at Arizona State in Tempe. Washington State quarterback Alex Brink completed 14-of-30 passes for 161 yards and two touchdowns. He was intercepted twice. The loss dropped the Cougars to a record of 6 and 5 overall and, 4 and 4 in the Pac-10. It was their third straight defeat against the Sun Devils. The bowl-eligible Cougars will wind up their regular season in Pullman next Saturday at 3:45 p.m. with their Apple Cup game against the Washington Huskies.
