Future Cloudy for Fever

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Tri-Cities Fever owner Randy Schillinger denies KNDU's earlier report that he's selling his team to an owner who will keep it in town and switch to the AF2.

Earlier, a source close to the Fever told us that the team is in the process of being sold. Furthermore, the AF2 would like to add two new teams, and sources have indicated one of the teams as the Tri-Cities. The Tri-City Herald also reported that the team has decided to leave the NIFL for the more competitive AF2.

Schillinger denied KNDU's report, saying he is till the owner and the team is still in the NIFL. But he did acknowledge there may be "talks." The Fever played in the National Indoor Football League last season, but have been unhappy with the way the league is run.
