Lines Form at Wal-Mart for Popular Gaming Device
YAKIMA, Wash. - The Sony Playstation 3 hits stores nationwide on Friday at midnight.
People have already started to line up to get their hands on the limited supply of the gaming device.
The Wal-Mart in Terrace Heights is the only store in Yakima to allow people to line-up for a Playstation.
However, only 10 will be available to customers for purchase.
On Wednesday afternoon, four people already reserved their place in line and planned to camp out inside the store in the gardening center.
"My mom tells me that all the time that I'm nuts and that I shouldn't be doing this but I'm young yet, so I might as well do it when I can," Central Washington University student Eddie Jenkins said.
Marisol Arteaga, who was the only girl in line, wasn't afraid to battle with the boys.
"There's a first time for everything and Wal-Mart's open all night," she said. "At first I was like I don't know about all night outside, what about freezing weather?"
The four people in line have traveled from out of town to get a Playstation 3.
There are three guys in line, who are all CWU students and a girl from Sunnyside, who is standing in line for a friend.
And they're all expecting to pay up to $600.
