Water Follies Says Air Show Should be Back in 2007
KENNEWICK, Wash.- Rumors that there would not be an air show at the 2007 Water Follies are being squleched.
Water Follies officials say they do not have anything nailed down yet, but they do not see anything changing from past years either.
They could not go on record to talk about the air show because the Board of Directors is in transition and therefore can not officially talk, but everyone KNDU talked to off the record said there are no plans to cancel next year's air show.
They say they are finalizing sponsorships right now, and once that is done, they will start booking people, but the Air Force says they are ready to go all out in 2007.
They want to bring as many acts as they can to the show.
They say it is a win-win for both sides.
They get to show off their skills, and the public has fun watching.
They celebrate their 60th Anniversary next year, all the more reason for a big show. N
No acts for the show have been booked yet. Water Follies management says they will know more about that after an air show conference in December.
