PASCO, Wash. - Imagine not being able to provide your family with enough food this holiday season. For many in our community that is a harsh reality but you could help.
For the next three weeks Fiesta Foods is taking part in a food drive. There are two main options. You can go to the front desk and obtain a list of suggested items and as you do your personal shopping, pick up any additional items that are on the list that you would like to donate. There is no minimum or maximum amount.
The second option is to buy a shopping bag full of food that has already been put together by the supermarket. It will cost you five dollars. All the food ultimately goes to people in need.
Fiesta Foods Representative Debra Halley-Hanson said, "The Tri-Cities is made up of a lot of seasonal workers, a lot of migrant workers, just a lot of low income people and I think we have a lot of people that don't have enough food."
The food drive will continue until December Second. Stores in Pasco and Sunnyside are both involved.
