Prosser Stays Alive

KENNEWICK, Wash - A scary afternoon for the Prosser Mustangs today, as they were nearly knocked out of the playoffs! Tom Moore's team was shutout in the first half for the first time ever this season! The Wildcats of Archbishop Murphy scored first, when Tony Houts took the handoff in for six. Prosser's offense was able to move down the field but could never get into the end zone because of four first half fumbles! Kellen Moore finally found the end zone to tie the game at 7 a piece. With just a few minutes remaining in the game, Murphy had the ball deep in their own territory, and Keegan Pilot came roaring in from the right side, reading the run and forcing a Wildcat punt. Then a few plays later, with just :22 seconds remaining, Kellen went to the air and found his younger brother Kirby for the game-winning touchdown. Prosser narrowly edges out the Wildcats, 14-7.
