Fight over money turns violent

PASCO, Wash. - A fight over money turned violent in Pasco.

Pasco police said two men got into a fight over a small amount of money.  Authorities said one tried to get away in his car but the other, in a Chevy Tahoe, chased after him.

The car ran a stop sign and crashed into a man driving to work.

Pasco Police and Washington State Troopers responded to the incident at the intersection of Broadway and Oregon just before seven o'clock Sunday morning.

Police said the man in the car pulled out a gun and accidentally shot himself in the leg. Then the man driving the Tahoe rammed his truck into the man that just shot himself.

Trooper Shane Nelson said, "This would definitely be classified as a road rage incident involving aggressive driving."

There are two schools down the road and a woman who works near-by said it is a good thing it was Sunday because normally there are a lot of kids in the area.

Crystal Rosas said, "That's the scary thought cause there's a lot of kids and the safety of the kids and our customers of course."

Police report that the man with the self inflicted gun wound is recovering at the hospital.  The other man is in jail for first-degree assault.
