KENNEWICK, Wash. - A 16-year-old girl said a man tried to attack and rape her as she was walking down the road. Now the search is on for the man suspected of the alleged crime.
Police said the teen was walking on Columbia Drive in Kennewick when she noticed a man was following her in a white compact station wagon type car.
When she walked past Schuck's Auto Supply on the corner of 4th Avenue and Olympia, the teen told police the man was already outside of his car and grabbed her.
According to the alleged victim, she fought the man off then took off to her friend's house where she called 911.
The teen was treated at the hospital for cuts and bruises and was realeased.
The suspect is described as a man with a thin build wearing a blue beanie and sweatshirt and speaking Spanish. He was driving a white station wagon type car with the back passenger window missing.
