YAKIMA, Wash. - Construction for office and industrial spaces on Washington Avenue between 40th and 48th Avenues is about to begin.
The City of Yakima's assistant planner Jeff Peters said Wide Hollow Development is constructing a 22-acre development.
But first, the project needs to pass an environmental review. Currently, the city is leaning towards passing the environmental review.
The public can submit comments on the project through December 11.
"But this is an absolutely necessary step and we hope not to find any problems, it is close to a creek and we've got to make sure they protect the creek but there aren't a lot of other neighbors to disturb," The City of Yakima's Bill Cook said.
The land is being leased from the Yakima Air Terminal.
The public is encouraged to review and comment on the proposed project and its probable environmental impacts.
Call the city planner's office at 575-6163 if you have any questions on the proposal.
