Repairs Made After Pipe Break at Grandview Middle School
GRANDVIEW, Wash. - Grandview Middle School will be back to normal Monday, after a water main break forced the city to shut the school's water off.
Principal Matt Mallery estimates the pipe broke just before 8:00 pm Tuesday. He says they decided to cancel school because the water was off, which meant no drinking water, and no restrooms. He says the cafeteria would also have had a hard time functioning without water.
Maintenance workers replaced the broken pipe Wednesday afternoon.
