UNION GAP, Wash. - A new development will soon replace the old 'Mercy 6-Plex' cinema in Union Gap.
Mercy Enterprises will demolish the building on Valley Mall Boulevard, making room for another business.
The theater building has not been functioning for commercial use since the summer of 2005, when the family business opened its new Majestic theater.
Recently, Union Gap firefighters have used the empty facility for training. Demolition of the theater should begin in the next few weeks.
