After all the pushing and shoving this morning most businesses were very happy with the Black Friday totals.
Managers from Best Buy, Circuit City, and Target reported 10 to 20 percent increases in sales from last year. They said electronics like TVs, digital cameras, and video games went the fastest. Nationwide, customers were buying fewer more expensive items than in years past. Retail surveys said that the average customer spent 800 dollars today.
Most businesses said they sold out of many of the items in ads. They said that there was some pushing and shoving this morning but little other violence throughout the day.
