TRI-CITIES, Wash. - It was the first dusting of snow this year and authorities were busy dealing with weather related problems.
Police responded to everything: From teens throwing snowballs, to serious accidents.
Police said the worst of the collisions came Sunday morning.
Washington State Troopers responded to 75 accidents in the Tri-Cities, Yakima, Walla Walla and Sunnyside on Sunday.
Police encouraged people to stay off the roads and to limit their driving.
Kennewick Police Sergeant Randy Higgins said, "Unfortunately, on days like this, we are traveling from one accident to the next, so unfortunately we have to travel and the fire department has to travel."
In Benton County there were 36 snow related vehicle accidents reported on Sunday.
Police blame the accidents on speeding and driving too closely to others on the road.
