Yakima's Christmas tree cut and delivered

YAKIMA, Wash -- 30 years ago, Damon and Lu Smith planted about a thousand Colorado Blue Spruce Trees to sell as Christmas trees. Today, they donated a 25 foot tree to the City of Yakima for the Millennium Plaza.

In years past, the Smiths have given a tree to the City of Selah, Union Gospel Mission and their church.

Yakima's tree will be decorated with ornaments made by local school children, including several classes of English as a Second Language and special needs students.

The tree will be lit on Sunday, December 3rd.
