D&M Coffee Helps Effort to Revitalize Downtown Ellensburg
ELLENSBURG, Wash. - The Ellensburg Downtown Association is still working to get their "Save Downtown" web site off of the ground, but so far they've collected about $1300.
Director Timothy Bishop says that money will cover the cost of the web site, and their efforts to advertise it. Now he hopes to make it a profitable endeavor.
The downtown association is asking for donations of at least $10, so they can provide business workshops and training opportunities that will help local owners stay in business.
The downtown association has partnered with D&M Coffee to get momentum going. Owner Mark Holloway says people need to realize that historic downtowns like the one in Ellensburg are hard to find anymore.
"Community members; realize it's a jewel." he says. "It needs to be cherished."
