Yakima's Christmas tree gets lights and decorations
YAKIMA, Wash -- With temperatures in the mid 20s and ice everywhere, most people would want to avoid climbing a ladder.
For Ryan Paulin, of Senske's Tree and Lawn Care, its all part of helping the City of Yakima get ready for Christmas.
Paulin and several co-workers were in Millennium Plaza to string over 2,500 lights on the 25 foot Colorado Blue Spruce Christmas tree. Ice on the power box delayed Paulin and his crew for a while, but once the box was open, the decorating began.
After the lights, the Yakima Fire Department moved into hang decoration made by local school children.
