Police Looking for Two Remaining Escaped Inmates

SUNNYSIDE, Wash.- Sunnyside Police are asking for your help in tracking down the two remaining federal inmates that escaped from the Sunnyside City Jail early Thursday morning.  Four had escaped but one was captured early Friday afternoon and the second caught Monday before noon.

All four fugitives are from Yakima at least one of the missing fugitives has family in Yakima.

If you have any information call 911 immediately.

Here's a list of the escaped inmates:

  • Aaron L. Garcia - Age: 28
  • 5'08'', 185 lbs
  • Brown eyes, Black hair


  • Ernesto Gallegos - Age: 27
  • 5'05'', 145 lbs.
  • Brown eyes, Black hair


  • Jose Moreno-Ruiz  CAPTURED
  • 5'05'', 190 lbs.
  • Brown eyes, Black hair


  • Rodolfo Cortez-Orozco  CAPTURED
  • 5'05'', 140 lbs.
  • Brown eyes, Black hair
  • Arrested at the 1,000 Block of 11th Avenue in Yakima.

There are several law enforcement agencies working along side with Sunnside police including Yakima Police Department, Yakima Sheriff's Department, and U.S. Marshals to track the four men down. 

Sunnyside police say the four inmates punched a hole through the ceiling in a cell bathroom and escaped using bedding to get down from the roof between 3:30 and 7:00am.
