YAKIMA, Wa -  A judge gives the maximum sentence to the man convicted of vehicular homicide in the death of a dean at Yakima Valley Community College.

Marcos Ramos Medina receives a little more than five years for killing Peggy Keller in a head on collision on US Highway 97 in August, 2005.

Medina is a twice deported illegal immigrant with previous arrests for drugs.

The judge says all that factored in to his decision to give medina the maximum sentence.

Medina was high on meth when he crashed into Keller's car.
