UNION GAP, Wash. - Over a thousand customers were without power at around 11 a.m. on Friday morning in Union Gap at Ahtanum Road and 52nd Avenue.
But Pacific Power restored service to affected customers around 1 p.m. on Friday.
The cause of the outage stemmed from a broken insulator at a substation.
Norman Richardson, who was without power on Friday morning, said power outages aren't common in his area.
But he said he was ready for the outage, with camping gear and bottled water stored away in his home.
