Americans Score Big on Teddy Bear Toss Night

KENNEWICK, Wash - It was teddy bear toss night tonight at the Toyota Center! The Spokane Chiefs scored the first goal, but the Ams got the last laugh as they defeated their arch-rival 4-3. Colton Yellow Horn got things going for Tri-City; his first goal sparked a huge crowd response as everyone in the stands tossed hundreds of stuffed animals onto the ice that the Americans players will later donate to needy children. Yellow Horn almost had a natural hat trick, but the Americans third goal was scored by Kruise Reddick on a breakaway out of the penalty box. Joel Broda scored the fourth and game-winning goal for Tri-City. The Americans next game is Tuesday at Vancouver.
