YAKIMA, Wash. - A former pastor appeared in court on Tuesday afternoon to face a charge of First-Degree Child Molestation, for allegedly fondling two young girls.
Eduardo Efrain Alfaro was a pastor at the Salvation Army Church on North 16th Avenue in Yakima.
The 65-year-old man was suspended in October after the Salvation Army learned about the allegations. He was arrested on Friday. His bail is set at $100,000.
Alfaro's trial is scheduled for January of next year. The Salvation Army said these are the first allegations against Alfaro.
