Restricted Gates on State & Federal Land Vandalized
YAKIMA, Wash.- In the wake of James Kim's death, the man who died seeking help for his stranded family, in the snowy, southern Oregon wilderness, questions are being raised about vandalism to gates restricting access to federal lands. Thursday the forest service reported vandals cut the lock on a gate that should have stopped the Kim family from taking the road that left them stranded.
In the Yakima Valley, the Naches Ranger District is doing their part to keep a close eye on gates blocking off national forest lands. They say vandalism is something they deal with every year.
