Lighted Boat Ceremony a Business Hit in Tri-Cities
People flocked to see the Lighted Boat Parade and some businesses reaped the rewards.
Local restaurants like Cedar's on Clover Island said they started taking reservations for this weekend in October. Manager David Mitcham says almost every person that came in tonight asked about the boat show. He said this weekend is his busiest of the holiday season.
Mitcham said, "Business with the boat show tonight has been incredible. We have every seat in the house booked: the lounge, private dining, the whole place. Everyone is here for the boat show."
The boats started and finished their tour at the Cable Bridge but restaurants like Anthony's and others say they had people calling and asking about how they could best see the boat show. Many people pulled off to the side of the road just to catch a glimpse.
