Atomic Foods Robbed

PASCO, Wash. - Pasco Police searched for two men suspected of robbing the Atomic Food Store on 4th Street in Pasco.

It happened just after five o'clock Monday morning.

Witnesses said they wore masks and were armed with weapons.  One man displayed a gun while the other had a knife.

Police said they demanded cash from the clerk and forced all six people that were inside the store to lie on the floor.  The store clerk suffered minor injuries after one of the suspects hit him in the head.

The owner said the store has been robbed in the past.  Atomic Foods has been operating for years.  There is also a gas station and laundromat attached to the building.

Pasco Police Captain Jim Raymond said, "We're hoping someone saw them get into a car or there's probably somebody out there that knows what happened."

Both men were wearing dark clothing during the time of the robbery.  Both were described as having a medium build and one was wearing a black and white checkered shirt.

Authorities think they fled the area in a vehicle.  Contact Pasco Police if you have any information.
