FBI Investigation Discovers Kennewick Attorneys Stealing Money

KENNEWICK, Wash. - Kennewick City attorney, Tyler Morris, and defense lawyer, Jeff Finney, are being charged after an FBI investigation discovers that the two attorneys have been splitting money supposed to be used in the Home Base program.

Morris was fired from the City of Kennewick as soon as the city became aware of the FBI's investigation.  US Attorney says Morris asked for cash donations from Finney's clients and in exchange, he would drop charges against Finny's clients.

KNDU has received callers from viewers saying they paid several thousand dollars to get DUI's dropped or reduced.

Morris is charged with one count of theft from the city and asking for bribes along with conspiracy.

Finney is charged with conspiracy and bribery.

Each of the charges carry a maximum of 10 years behind bars and a 250-thousand dollar fine.
