SEATTLE, WA. - The Seattle Times named Prosser quarterback Kellen Moore the state's player of the year and the 2A MVP. The paper also named La Salle running back Lawrence Cacchiotti the 2B MVP.
Moore led Prosser to the semi-finals of the 2A state tournament this year. He set state passing records for career completions and career touchdowns. As a junior, Moore set state single season records for completions, passing yards, and touchdowns. As a senior, he topped his own mark for touchdown passes in a season with 67. Moore will attend Boise State on a football scholarship next fall.
Cacchiotti helped La Salle reach the 2B Championship game this year. The senior running back eclipsed the 2000 yard mark for the lightning and scored 34 touchdowns.
