Governor Announces Agriculture Funding

RICHLAND, Wash.- Governor Christine Gregoire was in Richland Wednesday to announce plans for a new state agriculture office.

Gregoire is creating an Office of Working Farms and Forests.

The office will help meet the needs of farmers around the state.

The Governor also announced more than $81 million for agriculture in next year's budget.

$4 million is aimed at the state's energy independence program.
