Tree Service Companies Stretched Thin

YAKIMA, Wa -  Tree service companies have been responding to calls since early this morning.  The wind blew over trees all over the valley.

A tree that was more than two feet thick almost hit the roof of a house on South 5th Ave in Yakima.   A work crew from Wolff's Tree Service cleaned away branches.  They have been working since 3:00am.  The foreman told us that they've been to at least 15-homes today.

"It's actually been very crazy for us...  very hectic, but it's a lot of work and really nice for us," says Noah Peoples of Wolff's Tree Service.

He says they are so backed up right now with calls that they'll probably be cleaning up trees through the weekend.

They also say with all the moisture from yesterday's rain -- and some windy weather forecasted for tonight -- more trees could be blown over.
