SEATTLE (AP) - Cold weather combined with the ongoing release of vapor generated an impressive plume of steam Tuesday at Mount St. Helens.
The mountain vented steam shortly before 1:00pm. The volcano has been undergoing a low-key eruption since September 2004. Vapor has been rising from the volcano since before it rumbled back to life.
Cold still air yesterday and today made it visible from farther away.
