YAKIMA, Wash. - The Union Gospel Mission treated a few hundred people to a Christmas meal on Monday.
The annual event helps out people in Yakima who aren't fortunate enough to afford a meal during Christmas.
People from the community and volunteers handed out food during the luncheon.
Rich Cornwell, a volunteer for the Union Gospel Mission says they handed out presents on Sunday.
And on Tuesday, they gave people boxes of food to take home with them.
"Having fun and eating and pending time with my family," 7-year-old Malcolm Sanchez said.
It's the 15th year the Union Gospel Mission has held a special Christmas luncheon.
Volunteers say they'll try and do it again next year.
