Robbery Suspect Still On The Loose
YAKIMA, Wash. - Police are still looking for a man who robbed the East Valley Market at gunpoint on Wednesday morning.
A store employee, who was working on Wednesday night, says the suspect ran off on his bike with about $300.
Police say a vehicle might've picked up the suspect just west of the store on Postma Road. At around eight on Wednesday morning, the store owner noticed a suspicious man waiting outside.
As soon as the owner left, the man entered the store and that's when the robbery happened.
"He put the grocery bag down on the computer, what appeared to be a gun," East Valley Market employee Heather Bishop said. "I'm not sure and he's like give me all of your money and Becky was like all flustered, so she's like okay here. Then he walked out, got on his bike and headed down postma road."
The suspect is white and in his mid to late 20's. He's about six-feet tall and has a thin build.
If you have any information about the incident, call the Yakima Sheriff's Office at 574-2500.
This is the second time someone's robbed the East Valley Market. But four years ago, they caught the man who almost walked away with a six-pack of beer.
