YAKIMA, Wa - An ice storm causes multiple accidents I-82 near Grandview, leaving one man dead.

State Patrol blames an ice storm and high speeds for the one car accident. They say the storm blew through a five miles stretch near Grandview late this afternoon causing ten accidents in about ten minutes.
"We see it every year. Usually, a couple times a year. Any time the weather conditions are just wrong, " Sgt. Tom Foster of the Washington State Patrol, "This is the kind of thing that happens. The roads get slick and people have trouble maintaining control. It isn't until all the other people seeing the collisions start to slow down."
The fatal car accident took about two and a half hours to clean up. Traffic is back to normal, but road conditions in the area are wet. State Patrol says to be careful with temperatures dropping below freezing.
