TRI CITIES, Wash - An opiate treatment program proposal was presented to the public in Pasco and Kennewick Wednesday night.
The Department of Social and Health Services organized the hearing to talk about the clinic.
It would be run by the Tri Cities Treatment Center on West Hood place in Kennewick.
In an outpatient setting, the clinic would help counsel and medically treat people addicted to drugs like heroine and pain pills.
DSHS leaders said if all goes as planned, the clinic could be helping to treat people with opiate addictions in about 90 days.
