Kennewick Man Arrested for Voyeurism

KENNEWICK, Wash. - A woman called Kennewick Police after she saw a man in the middle of a lewd act in her back yard.

18-year-old Aubrey Allen Azevedo was arrested for voyeurism Saturday afternoon.

Kennewick Sergeant Scott Child said, "It's tough working these cases because a person doesn't leave their business card behind.  The person is moving on and moving on quickly."

Police said Azevedo was in the backyard of a home on the 4300 block of West 22nd Avenue in Kennewick masturbating at 8 o'clock Saturday morning in front of a woman that lived in the home.

The woman's husband gave police a description of the suspect.  Police said that description was instrumental in identifying the subject.

Police were able to connect him to a prior criminal situation.  Police searched Azevedo's home, which is located at 2026 South Tweedt Street and found him hiding in the attic.

Child said, "We're confident we have the person that committed this crime in custody and he is currently in Benton County Jail."

Police said witnesses and good police work helped put the suspect behind bars.
