YAKIMA, Wash. - The third of four inmates that escaped from Sunnyside City Jail more than a month ago is back in police custody on Monday.
The U.S. Marshals captured Ernesto Gallegos on Monday morning. Before his escape, he was convicted of illegally re-entering the country after being deported.
U.S. Marshals say the $5,000 reward played a big part in capturing Gallegos.
"We followed him from where he was at to a location up on Fruitvale and then the Yakima Police Department pulled him over on a traffic stop and at that time, we placed him under arrest," U.S. Marshals supervisor Steve Thompson said.
Police are still looking for Aaron Lopez Garcia.
They're offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
