Kennewick General Hospital invites the community to a public meeting to discuss new hospital.
KENNEWICK, WASH - For more than two years now, Kennewick General Hospital officials have been debating the idea of expanding their facilities. But instead of adding on to the current building, they've decided to build and entire new one.
The commissioners for KGH have agreed on a location for the new building. Kgh owns 40 acres of land across from Southridge High School. They've checked out a number of sites, but this one appears to have the most space. Public meetings are being held to inform the community.
"We would like to remind the community that we are a public hospital district and we would like to see as many faces as we can to hear their feedback and to get their input and to make sure they know what all the options are," said Lisa Larson, KGH Marketing Communication Specialist.
The hospital says the current building is just too small, and a new hospital will bring in state of the art technology.
The meeting's are on the 10th, 13th and 16th, from 7 to 9 in the evening, and will take place in the Benton P.U.D. Auditorium on 10th avenue.
