Beacon Plumbing signs on for U37's 2007 season run; new paint job in the works
Beacon Plumbing will be back as the primary sponsor the U-37 for the 2007 unlimited hydroplane racing season.
"We are so proud of our relationship with owner Bill Cahill and Beacon Plumbing. They have been an enthusiastic sponsor and want to help bring this team to an even higher level" said owners Billy and Jane Schumacher.
In 2006, the Miss Beacon Plumbing suffered damage in the first event at Evansville, Indiana. The crew worked without sleep for 4 days to put the boat back into racing shape for the next race in Madison, Indiana. From there until the Gold Cup in Detroit, Michigan the team made minor adjustments in ride and balance.
The Miss Beacon Plumbing ended up winning three out of the last four races including the much sought after Gold Cup, the prestigious Seattle Seafair race, and the UIM World Championship in San Diego, California.
