Metal Theft Bill Hits the Legislature

OLYMPIA, Wash.- The Washington State Legislature is considering a bill that would make it harder for copper thieves to profit from their crimes.

The bill would require a 30 day waiting period before people would be paid, and before the materials could be resold.

It would also increase the amount of information people need to give when selling the scrap metal.
