FRANKLIN COUNTY, Wash. - Some of the cheapest gas in our state was available locally this week. On Monday, customers lined up to get a tank full.
The lowest fuel we found in our area was at the Columbia Corner Grocery off of Court Street and Road 64 in Franklin County. Regular gas was $2.32 a gallon on Monday.
Several customers said they drive out of their way for the cheap gas. Some come from as far as Burbank.
"I travel a lot (and) this gas station is one of the least expensive in the area," said one man as he filled up his full sized truck.
Many want to know why Washington gas prices are higher than other states. Officials ranging from law makers to gas station owners do not have a specific reason why prices are higher. However, one way to try to keep prices down is to buy gas from low priced retailers.
